“Security by design” means devices developed to the highest standards, and kept up to date as new threats emerge, with a ‘duty of care’ on producers.
We need to move to a world in which there are no default passwords on connected devices, one where all companies providing internet services and devices adhere to a vulnerability disclosure policy, and one where connected devices and software are updatable for their entire lifespan."
